Jesus shows us the way through example. By washing his disciples feet, he humbled himself. We can humble ourselves by helping others. Of course its easier said than done. I’m praying that he guides me in order to humble myself.
Thanks for your prayers. Last week was the first week out of Alpha and I wasn’t reading my bible or praying as often and surprise, my week was very stressful. This week, after everyone’s prayers, I caught up on my reading, I was remembering to go to God with prayer, and he was working in my life. I’m a firm believer in prayer and I had an idea. Anyone who wants to, can email me at work when they have an answered prayer. You can include details or not. I’ll do the same if you send me your email address. I have little prayers answered at work that help me get through the day. I told my wife I had a Logistical miracle performed and it blew me away. It was a small thing, but none the less was an answered prayer. I would enjoy sharing it with you. It can be as simple as, God answered my prayer just now or my favorite, GOD IS AWESOME! or sometimes I start singing My God is an awesome God…(to myself, I don’t want them to drag me out of the office, LOL). I would love to share answered prayers so we can all be blown away when God works in our lifes. My work email is Jayh@tmctrans.com
If anyone evers wants prayer, please email me, I would love to pray with or for you.
Have a nice long, wet weekend and lord willing, I’ll see you tomorrow at church.
I’ll tag on to your comments J… Thank you for sharing. I think we can serve others by praying for them: taking up their burdens with them and helping give them to our Heavenly Father who cares so much for us and every detail of our lives.
Your prayer life at work is an inspiration. I pray, but I do not always stop and give thanks and share with others. It reminds me of the book by Brother Lawrence, “Practicing the Presence of God”… where we can be aware of God’s presence with us, no matter what we are doing. Maybe I should go re-read it.
I had answered prayer this week too. God gave me wisdom on how to handle a situation that in the past would have been very frustrating to me. So I am thankful and rejoice in that.
Wow, I love this idea!! Thanks for sharing J. Prayer is so powerful. You know how we always say “Well, all we can do is pray”. I was thinking that we should say “The most important thing we can do is pray.”
Awesome! Joanne had an answered prayer. She has been really stressed out at work and a big part of it has been her boss. Starting next week, she has a new boss. And nothing bad happened to her old boss. LOL.
