I had a thought. Since God did punish his people in the bible, does he punish us now? or is it just our own guilt that when we do something wrong and then something bad happens to us, we think its God? The secular society would call it carma. I’m reading Velvet Elvis by Rob Bell. Its very interesting and makes you go “Hmmm”.
Jesus took the punishment for our sins. It took Him sending His only son to get the job done.
It’s our conviction of sin that leads us back to the cross where once again we receive his sacrifice. It’s amazing! With that kind of grace and love He just keeps drawing us back to him and closer.
